CannaCritic Tries Two P37 Products: Papaya Pops Rosin and Tropical Runtz Flower

When the week starts feeling like a downward spiral, CannaCritic knows who to call.

“It starts with a P and ends with 37.”

In his latest reviews, CannaCritic put two very different Prohibition 37 products to the test: Papaya Pops 90U Rosin and Death Row Records Tropical Runtz Flower. One earned nearly flawless praise, while the other delivered a more mixed—but still respectable—experience.

Papaya Pops 90U Rosin Comes to the Rescue

First up was Papaya Pops, an indica-dominant strain exclusive to P37 and available in rosin, flower and vapes. The 90U cold-cure rosin tested at an impressive 79% THC.

CannaCritic immediately noticed its powerful tropical aroma, describing it as a combination of papaya, cheese, funk and fruit. He also praised the cold-cure texture, noting that it was lighter in appearance than many fruit-forward rosins.

Once it hit the rig, the flavor delivered exactly what the aroma promised.

“Gassy, fruity, nasty.”

After three rips at 500 degrees, there was still plenty left in the chamber, demonstrating the rosin’s quality and performance. His final verdict was simple: zero complaints.

CannaCritic was also impressed that Papaya Pops was available at a competitive price compared with lower-quality products he had encountered elsewhere.

“If you want better, New Mexico, demand it. It’s out there.”

His only request? A few more P37 locations.

Tropical Runtz Flower Earns a Solid Seven

For his second review, CannaCritic asked his budtender for something light and functional ahead of an upcoming traffic court appearance. The recommendation was Tropical Runtz, a sativa strain from Death Row Records Cannabis powered by P37, testing at 27.4% THC.

The flower delivered strong citrus, tangy and pine-forward aromas. However, CannaCritic was less impressed with its presentation. The buds were small, dark, dense and slightly dry, with some flaking inside the bag.

Despite the app

earance, the flower still had visible frost and maintained a pleasant aroma. It barely passed his signature “sandcastle test,” but the smoking experience proved smoother than expected.

The flavor leaned heavily into pine and produced a clean, enjoyable hit.

“Not my favorite strain, but it’s definitely good weed without a doubt.”

CannaCritic ultimately gave Tropical Runtz a solid seven out of ten. While he had experienced better-looking flower, its smooth smoke, potency and flavor still made it a respectable option.

The life-sized arcade-style glass piece used during the review, however, became the undisputed star of the show.

Two Products, Two Honest Reviews

These reviews demonstrate the variety found across the P37 lineup. Papaya Pops Rosin delivered premium flavor, texture and performance with no complaints, while Tropical Runtz offered a functional, smooth and pine-forward experience despite some room for improvement in presentation.
